Mercari temporarily blocked

ListSwiftly connects to Mercari by signing in as you, the same way you would in a browser — Mercari doesn’t publish a seller API. Because of that, Mercari’s own network protections can occasionally get in the way of a sync, separately from anything being wrong with your account.

A sync that’s affected shows a message along these lines: Mercari’s network blocked the request rather than answering it, your sign-in itself is fine, and ListSwiftly will retry automatically. In ListSwiftly’s own wording, this usually clears on its own within the hour.

This is different from your session expiring — if it’s expired, ListSwiftly tells you to reconnect instead. A temporary block doesn’t need that; the retry that’s already scheduled handles it.

  • Nothing, for a first occurrence — let the next automatic sync try again.
  • If it keeps happening well past an hour, or every sync to Mercari fails the same way, contact support.

If you’re in the middle of connecting or reconnecting Mercari and it shows a CAPTCHA/verification challenge on Mercari’s own sign-in page, that’s a different moment from the block above: ListSwiftly does not attempt to solve a CAPTCHA on your behalf, and asks you to try signing in again. If it keeps happening, try again after a while, and make sure the account credentials you entered are current.
